more crinkles.

I'm trying to find the fastest way for me to get decent crinkles. This time I braided my hair after making it damp with my spritz. Actually I did more spritzing as I went along cos some places had gone dry again. This way, the braids are dry by the next day. My locs are starting to retain more water, although my sisterlocks still dry 3-4x faster than my bradelocz did. Also I don't 'feel' the weight at all when they're wet, unlike my old locs which felt kinda heavy. I'm glad I transitioned to microlocs/sisterlocks.

Very nice..try braiding right after a fresh wash. Or just put your head in the water while in the shower and then braid, you will get more definition than spritzing and long lasting.

You hair has really changed. I really like it. I didn't know there would be a difference in the weight. Do you think it was because of the size of your braidlocs?

Yes, it's definitely the difference in size. Thicker= heavier. If I'd made them smaller, I'd have been ok, but I was a bit ignorant and didn't quite see how thin starter locs could get thicker. I ended up taking the bradelocz down after 2yrs b'cos of wieght, and boy am I glad I did! After seeing a pic of lady who had thick traditional locs that grew long and how it pulled out the hair down the middle of her head leaving huge sparse areas. She had to cut them and fortunately hair is growing back but she has to cover them now somehow

Hmm...i love the look and feel of sisterlocks. I wish i knew where to get them done in Ghana. I currently have regular locs and i'm not unhappy with it, but i wouldn't mind those teeny sexy crinkles u get with the sisterlocks.

Esi, there are 2 sisterlocks practitioners in Ghana. One is a personal friend(an Old girl wey gey hey- hehehe). I took down traditional locs to get sisterlocks. I can get you her number if you're interested. A cheaper way of getting the sls look is to start with tiny braids/2st twists. Check out my daugters twist-locs here http://locsdiary.piczo.com/arashiaslocs?cr=2&linkvar=000044;
They were put in by some local girls in Ghana, aftter I showed them the 1st 2 rows I had started.
