Yarn for loc repairs.

I thought I'd share this. I've been using yarn for repairs and strengthening weak locs. Why? Because it's incredibly light weight and when your locs are thin, the last thing you want is extra weight on them. It works quite well. I wrap it round a loc as if I'm threading the hair, just as you would using fake hair. I leave a little overhanging the end of a loc in case I want to pull it off later. I see it as a temporary fix rather than a permanent one.

nice, I've found sewing thin spots with thread great too, because it doesn't add any bulk, reinforces the lock and you can't see the thread (providing it's the same or similar color to your locs.)

Excellent idea!

I'm glad to see someone else using this method too. BTW Wool would lock into your hair better (more permanent).

I plan to try this in another year to cover my permed ends.

What does it look like in your locks? Is it detectable? My locks slip due to my slick/smooth cuticle and I wonder if locking a very tiny bit into the lock would prevent the slipping. Any comments or suggestions greatly appreciated.
