Arashia's locs at 2 years 7mths.
incredible growth! They say loc growth really takes off after 2 yrs. I think this is true.
Sheeny locs thanks to washing up liquid -no kidding!
This was before retightening. I've started retightening and splitting some locs because so many of them are thicker than she would like.

A lion's mane indeed....very lovely.
Though I still cant seem to understand how you split the locks.... (am a very visual person, explaining just gets me more confused..lol)
Nubian, y'know when you're tightening your locs, you might do a 4pt like 12,3,6,9 making sure not to go through the same entry 2x? Instead of doing that I would keep going through the same entry e.g 12,12,12,12.. with my finger keeping it apart. That will create the Y(that we normally try to avoid LOL).As the hair grows I'll keep doing the same until I snip one branch of the Y leaving 1 long loc intact and shorter hair to be interlocked. This I think is less time consuming than taking an entire loc down and re-doing it, particularly if the locs are in the mature stage.
Beautiful head of locs and beautiful daughter! I can't remember has she colored or is that her natural color? Either way...just gorgeous!
She had a few locs dyed blond a 1 1/2yrs ago. She is still deciding between henna and chemical dye.
